About Apiary

The seeds of Apiary Market were planted long ago — just a mama and her girls gathered around a craft table. As we grew up, our mediums evolved from playdough and finger paints to sewing machines and glue guns. Our early masterpieces — macaroni Christmas ornaments and handmade Valentines — eventually became curtains for our dorm rooms, centerpieces for our weddings, refinished furniture for our first homes, and hand-sewn blankets for our babies.

Starting a business had been a dream for years — often whispered about during late-night craft sessions as we wondered when, where, and what it might be. We each work in our own little “hive,” but the truth is that our best ideas come when we’re together: sharing thoughts, trading skills, and bringing different strengths to the table.

What Apiary Market Is Today

Today, Apiary Market is a true family hive.

Hannah — the youngest daughter — is the lead bee of our Virginia hive, designing and creating our felt floral pieces with two little boys buzzing around her feet.

Patricia — our mama — is the queen bee and the gifted designer and seamstress behind every apron, flour sack towel, and linen creation that leaves our studio.

And from time to time, Melina — the second-oldest and master of intricate paper design — pops in to sprinkle her magic, especially through her beloved book snowflakes.

Together, we’re building a space where creativity, family, and handmade traditions continue to bloom — just like they always have around our craft table.
